Job Title: VB6, SQL Server 2005, .NET Contract Programmer

Job Description: I have an immediate need for a 1099 employee for 6 months or so to support a legacy system that is written in VB.NET 6. The backend is MS SQL 2005 and you would need to be able to be very familiar with building complex SQL statements to retrieve and insert data for Senior Management and others within the organization. Need to be able to work under pressure and play well with others. Communication is key with me and this client so must be able to communicate well. This is a fairly laid back environment with no strict dress code. Work must be done on site as you will be dancing around the fires that others create. You may be required to modify the legacy .NET application to accomodate any issues that may arise. Need to be familiar with STD accounting practices as many of the reports are for the accounting department. You need to be able to reverse engineer undocumented DB structure and application functionality. This will be a 40 hour a week position for a duration of around 6 months. You will work for my company and be contracted to my client for this position. I am not a head hunter, I run a technology company with 10 employees and have been in business for 17 years.
